Granite Projects

Granite is an intrusive igneous rock meaning a rock created from the crystallization of felsic minerals and magma under the earth’s surface. It is this crystallization process which makes it extremely durable because the crystals interlock like a jigsaw puzzle. Granite ranks 7 out of 10 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, 10 being a diamond.

The increasing popularity of this stone is a testament to its beauty, versatility and consistency. Used in a wide array of commercial and residential applications, granite is ideal for tile floors, ledges, walls and countertops, as well as exterior applications such as pavers and wall cladding. Granite is quarried worldwide, with the most exotic colors coming from Brazil, Italy, Spain, India, Finland, North America, China and Southern Africa. New quarries are discovered each year further enhancing color choices and keeping prices in check.

We just wanted to pass along a note and a few photos of the kitchen. We are really enjoying the granite so far. We were really pleased with the job from start to finish. So far all is great! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. Both owners as well as the ladies in the office were great! We are starting to think about what we might do for our bathroom counters. Hmmm?
